Biography

Zoran Bozicevic has been a career photojournalist since 1989. He joined the Associated Press in 1991, travelled extensively in Eastern Europe, Russia and Chechnya, documenting the tormented political situations in the troubled regions. He covered the wars and subsequent recovery in Croatia and Bosnia, including the refugee exodus from Srebrenica, the destruction of Mostar, U.S. forces implementation, President Clinton’s visit to Croatia, Pope John Paul II’s visits to Croatia and Slovenia, etc. He was also assigned to Chechnya to cover the battle for the capital Grozny, signing of the peace agreement between Russians and Chechens, and other related events.

His creativity, exceptional sense for action, knowledge and sensitivity to the latest technology trends have contributed to his progressive style in photojournalism, with digital photography and web design topping his professional portfolio.

Since September 2004 Zoran has joined the outstanding team of professionals at the National Post daily newspaper as an Associate Photo Editor.
